The high performance cone-hole screen, developed by Pavanelli Europe’s Engineering Department, has achieved up to 4 times more durability against wear and impact than conventional standard screens, reducing energy consumption in motor starts by 80 % and consequently reducing the operator’s set-up time at the mill compared to conventional fine grinding screens (example: conventional 0.6 mm hole screens).
With 20% more thickness in the plate and with the application of heat treatment, these high performance conical grinding screens present an average durability of 22 hours of production, when compared to the conventional standard screen, which only presents an average of 10 hours of work in the mill.
Several tests have validated that over 6 days of production, there was a 30% increase in production yield and an 80% reduction in mill set-up time, when compared to the use of the conventional standard screen, proving the advantages of using this new high-performance conical drill screen model for the pet food* industry and other milling applications.
